Nils Nessim's business rapidly developed and he soon started an exclusive antiques shop in the best part of Stockholm.
He travelled many times to China and developed an interest in Chinese art and antiques. His collection soon became well known in Sweden. In 1959, Nils Nessim managed to receive permission from the Chinese authorities to import antiquities into Sweden from China.
