A silver-gilt and red enamel four-piece tea-service
Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1883-85
the egg-shaped teapot cast and chased with flowers and applied with a bee, the hinged lid cast with the figure of a lizard, the body with deep-red enamel; the sugar basin and cover and the milk jug similarly decorated and applied with various insects, the lid with an open flower and a bee; the shaped triangular tray cast and chased with a spider in his web with dragonfly prey (4)
