Description
An important set of four George III Royal silver-gilt coasters
Paul Storr, London 1814-15
each of circular form, tied reeded rim above a well-cast band of the young Dionysus holding his thyrus, surmounted by a pine cone, with recumbent lionesses under vine leaves and bunches of grapes, lower acanthus leaf border, stamped to foot rim ‘Rundell Bridge et Rundell Aurefices Regis et Londini’, the interior with silver-gilt base and engraved with a full Royal coat of arms and motto, in a modern fitted case (4)

Engraved with the full achievement of the Royal Arms of George III.
