A pair of late George III silver coasters
Philip Rundell, London 1819-20
of circular form, tied reeded rim above a well-cast band of the young Dionysus holding his thyrus, surmounted by a pine cone, with recumbent lionesses under vine leaves and bunches of grapes, lower acanthus leaf border (2)
8.2cm high, 14.2cm diameter
Heraldry:
The arms of Hollingworth of Cheshire quartering inter alia Green of Alkley, Notts. Captain Robert Hollingworth JP, DL, born 1791, and in 1831 re-purchased Hollingworth Hall estate which had been in the family since before the conquest
