A Victorian novelty silver mounted glass decanter
Sampson Mordan (overstriking another), London 1881-82
formed as a cockatoo with simple plain glass body with applied scroll wings and simple loop handle, mounted to the neck with a silver naturalistically finished cockatoo’s head with hinged upper section and set with red and black eyes, the base of the glass body applied with naturalistically formed feet in silver
