Note: Mahadev Desai, 1892-1942, was an Indian independence activist, and Mohandas Gandhi's personal secretary. Desai penned many influential, political works and took part in the Bardoli Satyagraha in 1928. Recorded in this volume, the Bardoli Satyagraha was a major civil disobedience movement which gave impetus to the nationwide struggle for Indian independence.
