Footnote
The present work is a design for Dylan Thomas’s poem of 1934, and a subsequent lithograph that Richard's produced. As reports began to surface in America in 1953 of Dylan Thomas’ looming death Ceri Richards executed a number of drawings centred on Thomas’ poems. Following on from Thomas’ death Richards became obsessed with his poetry, and made a series of works including the present example which featured the poet’s work.
