of cylindrical form, the body with three embossed oval cartouches decorated with bow and wreaths depicting three various gentlemen, the lid inset with a medallion dated 1701, in a border of chased mythological beasts and Scandinavian script, the S scroll beaded handle with a scrolling thumb piece, all raised on three large ball feet, stamped DN/**40 twice to underside with scratch marks
