Footnote
Note: This bookcase's design is based on plans for a library bookcase in Chippendale's 'Director', most notably in the shape of the astragal glazing, broken arch pediment, and low waist. Originally published as plate LXVII in the 1754 and 1755 editions, it was later changed to plate XCIII for the edition published in 1762.
