modelled as a gentleman in side profile with cravat and buttoned coat, cast in taupe wax, the edge of the sleeve with incised signature 'J Hagbolt, Fecit 1831', affixed to a glass plate with black painted backing board, mounted inside a round ebonised cavetto frame with a convex glass
