Note: Miss L. Marcia Budekin was a prolific embroiderer who taught for forty years at York Art School. Her work can be found on the walls of York Minster and she also worked on an embroidery which was presented to King George V and Queen Mary on the silver wedding anniversary in 1918. In 1954, Burdekin won a silver plaque at the International Handicraft exhibition at Olympia.
