Note: This artwork was originally the frontispiece of a wooden chest, given by the artist to the vendor's parents, on their wedding day in 1963. The bride was an art school friend of the artist, who is mentioned in his autobiography for her defense of his paintings of naked women in Glasgow University's Queen Margaret Union.
