Biography:
Janet Paterson was born in Edinburgh and studied at the Slade School of Art before undertaking a French Government Scholarship in 1964-5. After lecturing first in Liverpool she returned to Edinburgh and the College of Art. Given a six month sabbatical to travel to Australia from whence our painting dates, she then moved to London. She has exhibited widely throughout the U.K. and features in various publications regarding the contemporary art scene. In addition, she has received a number of awards and prizes from the Slade School of Art and the Royal Watercolour Society amongst others. Her work features in a number of national and international Corporate Collections.
